Hours per Week

The company

DOMinvest is a real estate services company based in Slovenia. When Dean Perko, the CEO, first connected with Fail Coach, the company was growing — but at a cost.

Dean was working 100-hour weeks. Every decision went through him. The business was successful on paper, but it was consuming his entire life.

Before: What was broken

Dean was the single point of failure for everything. Sales, operations, client relationships — it all ran through him. His team existed, but they couldn't function independently.

The 100-hour weeks weren't sustainable. He knew it. But every attempt to step back resulted in things falling apart. He was trapped in a business he had built.

Growth felt like punishment. More revenue meant more work, not more freedom. The more successful the company became, the less life Dean had outside of it.

The engagement

The work with DOMinvest focused on two parallel tracks: operational independence and leadership development.

On the operational side, we systematically identified every area where Dean was the bottleneck. Then we built the systems, processes, and team capabilities to handle those areas without him.

On the leadership side, Dean had to learn a different way of leading. Not doing everything himself, but building a team that could do it. Not making every decision, but empowering others to make good decisions.

This wasn't quick. Real transformation takes time. But the changes were visible within months.

The transformation

The numbers speak for themselves:

  • Revenue grew by 235%
  • Dean's working hours dropped from 100 to 40 per week
  • The team operates independently on day-to-day operations
  • Dean can take vacations without the business falling apart

But the real transformation isn't in the numbers. It's in the fact that Dean now leads a company that doesn't require his constant presence to function. He built something sustainable.

In his own words

It's great to be able to go from 100 working hours a week to 40 hours or less, and still see the company grow by 235% in revenue.

Dean Perko, CEO at DOMinvest

I used to think working more was the only way to grow. Now I understand that working smarter — and building a team that can work without me — is the real key.
